About This Quote

Our mind has its own ideal time, which is no other but the consciousness of the progressive development of our beings. This quote is from Izaak Walton who wrote The Compleat Angler, which was published in 1653. He goes on to explain that when we are in a state of “waking sleep,” we feel very little and everything seems unimportant. He says we should be aware of how we feel and try to not let our thoughts get carried away and drawn into lesser thoughts and desires. We should constantly keep in mind that we are moving towards a better and more desirable future.
